Trail in Chartres en lumières

A race that combines sport, conviviality, illuminations and magic...

A not-to-be-missed event in the spring of Chartres, the Trail in Chartres en Lumières returns every year on the first night of Chartres en Lumières. The routes link up the most beautiful illuminations, to the delight of thousands of participants and their supporters.

This 10km course winds its way through the streets of the centre and lower town, with a total difference in altitude of over 100 metres. Walkers are also invited to join in the sporting challenge. Starts will be given in waves to ensure a smooth flow of participants.

On Saturday 13 April, nearly a thousand runners set off at nightfall on the 10 kilometre Trail in Chartres en lumière, the course of which snaked through the city centre and the lower town.
